Unbiased:
The IGA boys soccer team lost 8-0 to Cakmak Spor last Friday. The HS boys soccer team at IGA challenged the local club team to a friendly match at their sports field. Cakmak was the victorious team scoring 3 goals in the first half and five in the second.
Although IGA had a few good shots on target, they were unable to score. "We put a good effort out there and played hard. The team has nothing to be ashamed of," Coach Lentz told our reporter after the game.
BIASED:
The IGA boys Soccer team were crushed in an embarrassing defeat at the hands (or should I say "feet") of their long time rivals, Cakmak Spor.
The minute the boys hit the field, everyone could tell who the better team was. Cakmak was everywhere, outrunning and outscoring the winded and helpless IGA players. IGA was left hopeless at half time after letting three easy goals in but things just got worse. The second half started with a few more crippling blows in the form of shots from all over the penalty box. The Cakmak team ended up scoring five more goals that half, ending the game in a landslide victory of 8-0. "The team has nothing to be ashamed of," said Coach Lentz after the game, the despair in his voice obvious. This reporter believes that IGA should stick to house championships and leave the real sports for the real athletes.
